I decided to do a few "diffs" today. To make myself sound like an engineer I've used that word. A "diff" in programmer-speak is simply comparing things. Files, folder, code, you name it. There are fancy programs that can do this quite aptly.
So I compared music folders and discovered by doing some housecleaning that there is a giant, billion ton pile of music I own as mp3s that I HAVEN'T HEARD IN YEARS.
I put it all on my portable players, and hit "random", or "shuffle", apparently either means "the same 50 songs for the REST OF YOUR LIFE".
Anyone else have this problem?

Amen...I put shuffle on in any app and it just plays the same sets of songs in varying orders. Honestly...It's like it doesn't want me to hear something in the other songs. Crazy.

i think Apple tried to combat this with their "Genius" program or something. I've resorted to just listening to music normally. What sort of music do you listen to?
