I'm currently looking at the world of widgets, and trying to get one that will play all the original MODs I wrote along with all the game music I've written. I think that'd please a few people on here. It won't be downloadable or purchaseable for copyright reasons, but at least you'll be able to listen to it. Besides, folks on here already know how to get it anyway. :)
But an additional plus is the ability to listen to my video game music greatest hits collection. It's only about 4gb, but I believe that I should be able to narrow it down and do some sort of more regular weekly posting without having to do a full blog post.
Yes, yes, album is coming along too, and I need to get on the ball with that as well as the badass remix of a Deus Ex tune that Jimmy penned up. Hell, it's almost perfect as is but I'd be a fool not to get in there and mess around. What an inspiring remix.
Thanks for your patience. The current system I have on here only takes posts visible on the main page, which won't work too well.

In a way, it will be a kind of an "Alexander Brandon Radio". So yeah, that assurely will please some people here :)
And if the next album is coming along too, great news too !

Sweetness man, good to hear! And I was afraid you'd forgot about me there for a minute ;)
Can't wait to hear Alex Radio when it's up!

Hi Alex!
As the Alex Radio is preparing, and because it's all about music, I've something concerning the Deus Ex OST :
Little by little this year I tried to create a complete Edition ingame for the Deus Ex Soundtracks, starting from the mod songs. Why ? Firstly, because the soundtracks is a wonderful piece of work. And also because the actual mod versions ripped from the game we can find are all a lot buggy (like on mirsoft; which is still a good mod database). Either it just play the map theme, or it continues and miss some part of the themes...
So I've tried to correct all that, Here is an explanation of what I've done :
As you perfectly know because it's your work, all tracks are made with the barely same schema : principal theme of the map, action, death, dialogues, and sometimes end in helicopter. The problem is that many of the tracks, if they play perfectly in the game, don't after the conversion from umx to IT, because of internals loops. Modplug plays the songs from pattern 01 (map theme) then jump to continue map theme and from there plays linearly...
Firstly it cause missing parts of the song (because every themes starting are at the beginning of the songs)
Secondly some wrong tempo or pan (because sometimes the tempo command is only on the first not played pattern, same for panning) and sometimes sounds that don't stop. It's just because it wasn't made for playing it like that. It's absolutely not a critic of the songs or the way you and others composer have made them. It's because your works were and still is amazing that I've try to make a good version for this soundtracks.
Except for Title, training, clubs, intro and endings that are one shot tracks with no intern loops, I've edited and exported the songs of the game so every of the themes are complete. Reorganizing pattern to not lose every starting theme, verifying in the game what tempo was the good one for dialogues when needed, etc...
On some tracks I've change some place for the theme : dialogues before action, death after action, those kind of things, respecting the whole work of the game.
This is not "remixes" but just some full version edited in a way to respect as close I thought it was the ambient of the game.
There are some little excerpt examples here :

The whole soundtrack is done, but I won't share it until you give me permission... and if you want to verifying the soundtracks, even if you haven't compose every track (I bet you well known the songs) I can upload it and give you a link... when you have the time of course ;)
P.S. : Again, sorry for my english, I hope it's understandable

On account of the above awesomeness, what's the best way to get in touch with you, Alex?

Sorry for the unrelated post, but Torley, I just realized, you're somewhat of a internet celebrity. You're all over the place, lol. I saw BT say something to you on twitter about a video you made (popcorn + bt, haha), so that's pretty awesome. Then, as I was contemplating which new Kore Soundpack to buy I stumbled across the Acoustic Refractions which linked to the creator who linked to a video that you made about it; that's awesome. And then, lo and behold I even see you here on Club Silicon--seems we have a few things in common :) Anyway, though you might get a kick out of me getting a kick out of you. Cheers.

^ Jimmy that's very observant and indeed — awesome!!!! — of you! Thanks for sharing, I appreciate it. I have some things I'm REALLY passionate about and like to share. The Deus Ex soundtrack is high on that list because it came at the right time in my life when I was searching for new directions, so it's not just technically well-done, it's emotionally overwhelming to me. I now go forth to learn more about you at your website! Cheerio!
